The Mt Owen Complex consists of the Mt Owen, Ravensworth East and Glendell open cut coal mines. All mines are owned and managed by Mt Owen Pty Limited (Mt Owen) on behalf of Glencore Coal Australia Pty Limited (Glencore). Mt Owen is a wholly owned subsidiary of Glencore.

Thiess has operated Mt Owen Mine in New South Wales, since 1995. The mine processes up to 15Mtpa of ROM, of which 7.8Mtpa is mined by Thiess from the Mt Owen North.

All bookings for Thiess Mt Owen Mine site familiarisations must be completed through the Damstra company portal.
