The Eastern Freeway - Burke to Tram will be designed and delivered by the Eastern Freeway - Burke to Tram Alliance which includes Major Road Projects Victoria, Laing O'Rourke, Symal, Arcadis, and WSP. 

The scope of work includes major road and bridge upgrades, a new interchange connecting the Eastern Freeway to the North East Link tunnels, smart traffic management technology upgrades, and new noise protection to meet tough new traffic noise standards. It will also feature new and upgraded walking and cycling connections, upgrades to Koonung Creek Reserve, and revitalised wetlands and open spaces for the community.
