The West Gate Bridge Painting project scope covers the painting of all external surfaces of the entire steel section of the West Gate Bridge between Piers 10 and 15 and includes:
- Design, fabrication, installation, commissioning, operation and decommissioning of an external access system for work outside the entire steel box girder section;
- Complete removal, capture and disposal of the existing paint coating from the external face of the entire steel box girder section in accordance with EPA and legislative requirements;
- Surface preparation of the external face of the entire steel box girder;
- Application of a paint system to the external face of the entire steel box girder section to 450 microns thickness.
