CPB Contractors have been selected to deliver facilities, infrastructure and airfield works for the introduction of the Boeing P-8A Poseidon aircraft to RAAF Base Pearce (WA) including:

Runway extension & Threshold strengthening

• Allowing the P-8A Poseidon to take off at maximum-all-up-weight and Threshold Strengthening to endure loading of the P-8A Poseidon

Parking apron

• To accommodate three P-8A Poseidon aircraft.

Aircraft rinse facility

• The existing aircraft rinse facility is to be upgraded to allow for the P-8A Poseidon aircraft.

Redevelopment of the existing Ordnance Loading Apron

• The Ordnance Loading Apron will be upgraded to a fully rigid pavement to support P-8A Poseidon aircraft operations

The primary objective is to safely deliver the upgrade works with no disruption or delay to base operations
