Coffs Harbour Precast Facility (CPF) has been contracted to CBGU D&C JV to deliver ‘Match Cast’ Mezzanine segments for the Roma Street, Albert Street and Woolloongabba Stations on the Cross River Rail Project.

Each segment (cast) will be 2-1m deep and vary from 6.0 – 6.6m in length and .8m to 1.2m in width. They will weigh between 14 – 28 T. In total the CPF will produce in around 1398 casts from October 2020 to September 2022

The work will be done from two fronts. The Reinforcement Facility at Hamilton Drive, Boambee will be used to manufacture the cages for casting. These will then be transported to the Precast Facility at North Boambee where they are placed in custom formwork (moulds), cast, stripped, inspected and prepared for transportation to Cross River Rail for installation within the station tunnels
