The APLNG Project is a program of works for our Client Origin Energy and their Joint Venture partners that form Australia Pacific LNG. APLNG extracts coal seam gas from the Surat Basin in South Western Queensland to sell as Liquified Natural Gas to international clients. The fields cover thousands of square kilometers and are spread from Spring Gully to the North West, Wallumbilla to the West, Condamine to the South, and Chinchilla to the East. The scope of work for the project includes the installation of gas gathering and wellsite infrastructure covering the following activities:
- Clear and Grade – includes mulching, grubbing, topsoil stripping, and any general earthworks activities
- String and Weld – Laying out the HDPE pressure pipe prior to installation and welding of pipe and fittings
- Trench, Lay, and Backfill – Includes the installation of previously welded HDPE pipe, HDPE fittings, and any related process features
- Electrical Works – includes installation of High Voltage (HV) substations, HV cables, Well Electrical Skids, and Fibre Optic communications cables
- Lease Pad Development – Civil works associated with the area required for a drill rig to set up to drill a well and the associated hardstands for the well site builds
- Well Site Builds – Mechanical skids for separating gas and water from the well
